The gym and the pool were great
We were not happy to be on the smokers floor - as we do not smoke - and there was a smell of stale cigarettes in the room

The staffs were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable. I got a room with nice view at high floor.
Some of the furniture is worn out (e.g. wardrobe). There is also hairs found stick to the new towel. The gym also need to be upgraded.

The level 6 located outdoor pool, while small, was quiet and pleasant, with good facilities. Also, I have to fairly note that they had checked with us -after the first night- to see if we liked the final room. The final room size was good (while the initial room was much smaller and smelly).
1. The room -that we finally ended up with- had a bit of a mouldy smell, while we had to refuse the initial room allocation where the room's mould smell was strong . Our friend's room smell (or maybe the aircon's smell) was stronger. 2. The booking handling staff are not too accommodating if one makes a small booking mistake, while they have offered another extra day at a 1.5 room price per day compared to what I have paid for my initial booking. 3. The included buffet breakfast had a fair selection, but quite some few dishes (on the buffet counters) were often not replenished on time. 4. The bathroom vane had a number of stains on the face and on the water sealant areas. 5. There were only 5 (five) clothes hangers in the wardrobe in a room for 2 people. 6. The room lightning was insufficient to be able to even read a restaurant bill, while that is happening in the current times of many commercially cheap and powerful LED light bulbs offers. Overall, this hotel appears a bit dated and it looks rather of a maximum 3.5 stars rating.

Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Nice gym. Good location, close to Robertson Quay area, nice walk around the riverside full of restaurants. I could pay in cash for my stay at check in.
* air conditioning is very loud. So in the evening I had to choose between sleeping in a hot room or sleeping with the loud AC - neither gives a good night sleep. * I could not order room service because they said they only accept card payment and I dont want to use my card (different currancy, bad exchange rates), I wanted to pay in cash. So I just ate out.

Staff were fanrastic, especially those in the bar! Nothing was too much trouble!
At the moment the location means quite a walk to the nearest MRT station which could prove difficult for some but there is good news, the new Havelock station opens in the coming days which is immediately outside the hotel and will make a massive difference!

Breakfast was Okay , and same for same for every day , Rooms were very small ,the queen size bed was also small, the cupboard were congested, there was no mini bar in the room , Also there was no room service and food after 10PM , they literally close the kitchen and 10PM.
