No phone line or receptionist

The property didn’t feel safe to me. Very thin doors without a reinforced lock on the other side. There is no staff at reception just keys in lock boxes when you arrive. I could hear the person above my room all evening so didn’t have the best night of sleep. My room was cold. I only got this room as it’s close to paddington station but would pay more next time for a better place to stay.

I didn’t like everything. I didn’t like the old building, tiny rooms, old furniture, I could hear other tenants at night, etc.

Too small rooms, no soundproofing, could be a bit cleaner.

Toilet didn’t flush properly, terrible smoke smell in common areas, staff continued to clean my room - after I asked them not to!

This place provided the bare minimum and I'm glad I only needed it to rest my head for one night. They made it clear that they were not staffed, but I had difficulty getting into the building with the code they gave. Luckily someone was coming out who let me in. There was just about enough room to move, but it was proper 'no frills' with a basic single bed.

The only thing I didn't like is a need someone to adjust the door closes as all night long door just kept banging

Bathroom and carpet

Everything else was pretty poor, if I'm being honest. Very cold room. Ensuite had an incredibly noisy fan at first, though it went back to normal after a brief period. The room was very small. The lock on the door (if you could call it that) is one swift kick from being opened. The room is not secure. There didn't appear to any staff available for 95% of my stay, so don't expect fresh towels or assistance. The hotel doesn't have any noise reduction insulation. It is very noisy with people coming in and out. If the price was more reasonable, I'd have no issue. But paying £200 for 2 nights for that room feels like a waste of money. Safe to say, I won't be using it again. As a final note,(it doesn't matter. it's just something that irked me) I install flooring for a living. Whoever fitted that carpet did a ridiculously bad job. It's like they've never touched a delphin knife in their life, and someone approved that level of poor craft???

Is really bad for elderly people. Lots and lots of stairs, rooms are not prepared for them. My dad have a medical emergency and it was impossible to get help, because the hotel DO NOT have reception. Later, the hotel deny us to do late check out.

Room was quite small (couldn't fully open bathroom door).

Lack of staff, saw someone at the reception on the Friday never saw another staff member even when I checked out on Monday. The door code to enter the building wasn't working correctly for me two separate days, I had to keep trying two fingers combinations till it finally read them and I could put in the code, called the emergency number supplied not much they could do except tell me what I already had been informed. Building seemed to be getting some rooms done up so Friday was doing alot of painting and work but then Saturday to Monday things was in the hall ways left around.

Bathroom needed a freshener TV without sound

nothing. beds were horrible, sheets with old blood, mouse running around and living in one of the beds, impossible to reach the staff

There were bugs on the wall and the toilet smelled like poo

The main door was not secured as it should be, was open and no reception

There were mouse in the room and my money was not refunded as well. Took me 1 hour to get in my room, can booking.com please contact me so that I can apply for a reefund it was £64.40 which I am seeking a refund for.

Flat batteries in the TV remote - replaced them.

that it didn’t have a lift so if with big cases it’s a struggle, it’s clean enough but needs a bit of work on the building as it seems worn down and scruffy.

The mistake happened in the pin to receive the keys, I had a trouble at 22:00 was left 45 minutes going up and down the 4 floors to find out how to access to room including anxiety and hassle. The room was full of ants specially in the carpet, I hope they are not bed bugs, and smell of the sewerage if the bathroom left open. Also strong smoking smell from neighbours rooms 😔😔😔. I have tried to avoid airbnb due to a bad experience I had to find even worse. Zero isolation of the windows, so old. Too cold since the bed just below the window.
